This thread isn't about Duplex. This thread is about a player who's upset I banned him when he ignored my warnings to knock it off.
When you sit on the server taunting/harassing another player and ruin the game for other players, you need to go. Shut up or get out. Period.

Perhaps... but not in this particular case. I judge only the case at hand and only the cases in which I am given the opportunity to do something about.
If you have a personal vendetta against Duplex, feel free to plea your case to DF. If he's actively causing a problem on a server, shoot me a Steam message and I'd be more than happy to look into it.

Wait Duplex told you he was harrassed on server 2? Did he mention he spent a good twenty minutes on server 2 berating everyone on his team? Non stop with the insults. No one should have to put up with his verbal abuse for more than the time it takes to type votekick. He is a griefer. If he has a problem with people being hostile and votekicking him then maybe that should be a clue that he should change the way he acts.

Until valve institutes a hate list and i can perma mute him it's far easier for the admins to ban him than to have the rest of the community mute him every time he logs on to the server.

This thread should be locked since it concerns no one except myself and Tarquin (and possibly DF).
I have no reason to explain myself to anyone. I explained to Tarquin out of kindness since he expressed frustration at being banned.
Now ppl are jumping in this thread that:
a. weren't even there
b. don't know what they're talking about
c. just want to bash Half-Duplex
Go to the flame bucket for that. I'm sure there are already similar posts there.
