don't like it really, reverted back to the old....nice colors but the steam store and "my games" section looked......too odd to me, didn't feel right....

I agree LMA. Overall it felt like any new product does. Like when I got my new car, my new computer, etc. Then you start picking it apart and you're like "meh." The Games section was definitely lacking. If they could add a way to view it like the old Steam, I would love it. Otherwise it feels like too much useless info.

It annoyed me before steam even finished loading. On the updating dialog box the spacing on the right hand side of the box was smaller than the left hand side. As a perfectionist when it comes to software development, it really irked me.
Only realised there was a UI beta when i saw this topic so havnt had a chance to look any further yet, but it looks good at a quick glance.
EDIT: The games section is changeable, click View in the top left and you can set it to Games Details (default), Games List (like the current steam but not as compact) and Games Grid (GIANT Thumbnails for each game)... oh, or you can click the "view" buttons in the top right, didnt see them.

also not sure if they have worked this out yet, but downloading it will apparently cause certain games to be uninstalled

i haven't had that happen but i had all of my controls reset(thank god for steam cloud).

blows, the old game list isn't broke so idk why they want to "fix it", why the hell cant you have a compact view anymore?!?. Also you cant choose your download region/speed anymore (probably automatic now) but I know from myself and others postings on spuf that downloads for the client and games take longer using the new ui. (even factoring in steam servers probably really busy) I will keep it on my 2nd account just to pick at it but will not use it on my main one. also I heard df decided not to keep it but forgot why.

my overlay was constantly breaking.
got fed up with it after one day and went back to the old one.
