I was just wandering what eveyones idea of fun is? It seems in this day and age its different from what it should be. In most games people seem to think you have to win to have fun and they get angry when they dont win.

I dont get it. Sure, if i win i get a breif sense of accomplishment but it dosnt add anything to the fun. I can even get a terrible kill/death ratio and still have fun. The fun is in playing that game, not the end outcome.

In TF2 for example, ill run around the corner with the axtinguisher and start beating a heavy who is not on fire. There about a 99% chance it wont work and it wont bring us any close to winning but its bloody good fun!

I've added color to nextmap, timeleft, currentmap, and chat from admins to help it stand out.

If there are cheaters in the server, say contact admin in normal chat. A form will pop up that you can fill out. If you select emergency, I will get a text message about the incident on my phone and can respond quickly.

You can also use this form outside of game:

Make sure you select emergency, problem, or feedback.

Abuse of the form will get you permanently banned.

got a pair of speed hackers on the 2fort server,

Ednamin (speed hack medic)
w00t (speed hack heavy)

These guys are zooming all over the place 100x faster than either of their respective classes can go... really could use admin presence...

Was gonna ask you. Have you thought about getting any servers for Left 4 Dead? I'm hoping so cause I'll barely play TF2 after L4D get's released and what better server to play on than another SourceOP one Wink

It won't find my SERVER.CFG no matter where I put it, and every time I start our arena server I have to manually set the hostname because it likes to change the name to "TEAM FORTRESS 2 ARENA SERVER" every time it changes map.

I just encountered a mic spammer a few minutes ago. I asked them to stop mic spamming, but they didn't seem to care.

It's unfortunate to have to request a ban or some other form of punishment, but I've lost my tolerance for this type of ignorance.

  TF2 bandwith Per hour?

Any one know how much bandwidth TF2 sucks up in about a hours time? Just playing not downloading maps or anything.

Since Comcast is dropping the hammer and setting the 250gb limit I want to see how much I actually suck up here and TF2 is probably the biggest thing I have to worry about. They are saying that only about 1% of their customer base (some 14.1 million users) will be affected by this. People have also reported getting letters from comcast telling them to dial back their usage or be shut off. I have not received any such letters so I am pretty sure I am in the clear. However I figure it's better to be safe than sorry.

Other than watching a football game every week or a tv show once in a wile I really don't do major surfing that sucks up the bandwidth. (although I guess now would be a good time to stop running that adult website out of the back of my van eh? :oops: )

We have 3 computers that use the line so getting a program to monitor bandwidth usage is almost pointless. I am pretty much the biggest user on the line so I figure as long as I use less than 1/2 of the 250gb we are alright.

hey Drunken i noticed today that when you look at someones stats on Hlstatsx it only brings up half the page, other servers Hlstatsx pages are fine, just Sourceops. it like stops you half the page down and won't go any further, it isn't my pc because it works for any other server pages i try.
