  Deleting Game Files to Increase Game Performance

For the past couple of months, I've noticed my load times for TF2 getting slower and slower. Specs:

Vista
Q6600
3GB RAM
GTS 250

I'm trying out a few solutions I'm finding online (creating a scan exception to that ever-changing TF2 file, etc.) but saw something mentioned about deleting everything in your Steam/steamapps/username/team fortress 2 folder. Supposedly it clears out a bunch of crap (customized sounds, maps, of which I have little to none). Question: since I don't have all that other stuff clogging my game, would it really help to delete that folder and start fresh? Clarification - I don't have a problem with FPS, my vid card and RAM are doing fairly well, it's just my load times. I've not tried reformatting the HDD, although I defrag very often.

TL;DR - Speeding up TF2 load times by deleting TF2 folder?

Ello,

Been on the 24/7 2fort [No mods, No BS] server for a bit and I keep running into this guy called Powerjack who, whenever I kill him, call me a variety of wonderful names in full caps. When someone Doms him, he joins spectator to clear the Dom and goes on another expletive laden rant.

I literally asked for over 30 minutes constantly if someone could explain to me how to initiate a votekick, but not a single damn person answered me. At all.

Anyway, just wondering if someone can explain to me how to votekick, or get this guy to stop harassing people on the server.


  Problem about my backpack

Hi, my problem is the following. My steam account is frozenshift12 and, when i want to check my backpack at tf2items.com, steam shows that my account doesn't exist !!! How is it possible if i always play tf2 in this account?? Do you have any solution to my problem?? What can i do?? Thanks, frozenshift12.


  daf4 CSS loading error

Hello, i try to install this plugin but nothing to do.
I download the CSS file for daf4 OB version.

I put the file in: /orangebox/cstrike/addons/daf

And the .vdf in: /orangebox/cstrike/addons/

I put in the autoexec.cfg the cvars: daf_enable on

I start the server but Nothing....
Why this?
How to resolve?


  Neotokyo windows 7 theme

Something I made real quick when I got my windows 7. My first theme just using megaupload for now(if there's big enough demand ill just upload it to piratebay).

Unrar all of this into your profile folder.(c/users/>yourcomputername<)
Screensaver needs to be put in your windows folder where you have windows 7 installed(or your computer won't see it).
right click your desktop click personalization change to the neotokyo theme(browse for it)
make sure the screensaver works.
Go to sounds make sure your sound scheme is neotokyo.
If it isn't, scroll down to windows logon click browse choose login.wav test it to make sure.
Do the same for logoff only use logon.wav do the same thing for exit windows.
Then click save as and name it neotokyo.
If the link dies tell me I will reupload it

  Map Issues

Dont know if the last update fixed it but coldfront was crashing the server.

Also thunder mountain is set on a 4 point limit before a map switch. So any team that pushes the cart to four checkpoints ends the map so you can never play the 3rd stage.

This one isn't that big of a deal, but I thought I'd put it in a post to make sure it was widely known.

Right now, engineers can spam the re-building of movable structures for unlimited stats points. As of patch day, this seemed to work for all movable structures no matter how many times you picked them up and moved them. Perhaps there was supposed to be a negative point counter in place to balance these positive points?

I haven't played since Thursday, so if this has changed please ignore.
