So I was in sourceop last night and everything was talking about how dynamic found out that LT. DEATH was cheating a lot in TF2 and kicked him out of the clan? Anyone know if this is true or if its just a comedic rumor?

I believe I was wrongfully gagged by ibby. this is what he had said to me

[404]Bino: u gagged me!
[404]Bino: u suck ibby
Ibby: No
Ibby: Youre annoying
Ibby: I might ban you if you continue being stupid
[404]Bino: yes u do suck
[404]Bino: ur going to ban me for talking?

and that was the end of that message. Is this enough cause for me to be gagged? If not, may I please be un-gagged?

So, for the past few weeks or so, my ping has been going up from 50 to around 300-400. This happens randomly, and can last from as little as a few minutes up to a few hours.

I'm not too sure how to go about finding what the problem is, does anyone have any suggestions?

EDIT:I do know it's not because other people are using the Internet at the same time.

I'm thinking about releasing a beta of SourceOP for Orangebox games pretty soon (I mean it! It's even packaged and ready to go!), but want to first gauge interest. Anyone interested in such a thing?

I don't know yet whether it would be a public beta or if it should be sent privately to serious server admins. If you have an opinion about that, feel free to share.

Too good;
Don't tell an admin what to do.

Some folks are complaining about lag spikes on 2fort nomods. The spikes generally seem to be resulting in freezing/rubberbanding.

I was lagging pretty bad around 8pm CDT, so I did some tracerts to attempt to find out the reason. Here's one that might shed some light on the subject:

Tracing route to tf22fortnomods.sourceop.com [67.228.59.147]
over a maximum of 30 hops:

1 <1 ms <1 ms <1 ms 192.168.1.1
2 7 ms 9 ms 10 ms 74-222-208-1.dyn.everestkc.net [74.222.208.1]
3 11 ms 12 ms 10 ms 64-126-2-113.static.everestkc.net [64.126.2.113]

4 10 ms 12 ms 11 ms 64-126-2-5.static.everestkc.net [64.126.2.5]
5 10 ms 13 ms 12 ms 64-126-2-14.static.everestkc.net [64.126.2.14]

8 27 ms 18 ms 25 ms ae-1-60.edge3.Dallas1.Level3.net [4.69.145.8]
9 20 ms 20 ms 25 ms te2-1.cer01.sr01.dal01.networklayer.com [4.71.19

11 22 ms 22 ms 20 ms tf22fortnomods.sourceop.com [67.228.59.147]

Trace complete.

That seventh hop timed out on at least 3 tracerts.

A group of 100 pings to the server resulted in this:

Was perma banned about 6 months ago during the great mutli-building exploit surge of '10, first time offense. Please to be undoing, perma seems a little harsh.

So now that CIV V(five, 5) has arrived, who's going to buy it? I'd like to but I still have nightmares of buying CIV IV(four, 4)on release day and dealing with its problems. You might recall, standard NVIDIA cards at that time(2005) were the 6xxx I think. CIV IV had a memory leak which made that game unplayable from 1500 AD on. The ATI mainline cards had a worse problem that gave the game a white screen when the game crashed, which was often.

Still, CIV V is receiving rave reviews. I'll probably wait for at least 4 months when the game is patched up to a 'better' state. Then again, I could
i)Wait one year for the first add on
ii)Wait two years for a bundle pack to be released and also a second expansion with new and improved units/features
iii)Wait three years for a super bundle pack to be released.

You read it well, I hate him.
With his weird half-white face and squeezed hog-like nose and scary ways of walking backwards.
Just have to shout it SOMEWHERE so the flame bucket is a relief.
