That happens to me occasionally, but not too often since my BS work schedule prevents me from logging in till 1 AM EST. When it does happen, I just jump onto 2 or 2fort for a bit till i can get in.

I can understand how it can be a pain, but I can usually get in after a few tries. I think DF increased it to 20 temporarily, but that was a while ago.

It's because the "Wait for a slot" thing is not a queue. It's more like, when a slot opens up the first person to connect and get in gets it. If more than one person notices the free slot before any actually connect, they will all try to get in but of couse only one can.

Nothing I can fix, really.
