i'm sure ya'll have heard me bitching on the server of late about lag, and i know i'm not imagining it.
I've double checked that my settings aren't too high and that my laptop wasn't overheating. I usually play soldier and I keep my interp at 0.02, and I tried upping it to 0.1--no difference. My rate was at 50000, and I know my internet connection is stable. Using net_graph 3 does reveal sharp spikes every time the lag hits.
Anyone else get this? Any help?

Do a tracert to the server IP.
Start>Run>cmd>tracert 74.55.49.243

So no loss, or at least not then. Post a picture of the netgraph when you get a lag spike. Maybe run ping -t at the same time and see if you get packet loss when you notice lag in game.

Check what your F5 key is bound to. Try binding it to "jpeg". You can also still try the ping -t thing.

try some of the network diagnostic tools from broadbandreports.com
The smokeping test was quite useful for me.
