I don't know why it would be happening to you more than others. Perhaps your rates are set low?

What are your values for:
rate
cl_cmdrate
cl_updaterate

cl_cmdrate 30
cl_updaterate 20

Defaults. You could try increasing them. Otherwise, I had no idea.

rate 100000
cl_cmdrate 50
cl_updaterate 67
