I've got a few questions about this...

doesn't the server normally append something like (#) to duplicate names?
if he's circumventing this somehow, can't your mods just force it on him?

this is the 2nd time in a couple days that I've seen someone avoiding votekicks by leaving prior to the vote completing and then rejoining. could you make it still tempban them for a duration in this scenario? or leaving while a vote is in progress to kick them could trigger an automatic temp ban? sort of like when people used to spec or teamswitch right after being balanced, it used to kick them... (what happened to that feature btw?)

That still works (at least for spec), but I don't know what the time threshold is. Last week on Badwater I did that because, well, fuck being team-switched with less than a minute left (especially since we (RED) were getting the shit kicked out of us until the last point...fucking stackers).

As a result, I got temp-banned with the reason being something along the lines of "attempting to circumvent auto-balance". I don't have a reserved slot, so maybe people with one are immune.
