Hello. I'm trying to use the administration control panel, but connection is rejected for all of my CS:S servers. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What port are you using? 2153?

No. The server port is 27018. I tried the LAN IP of the server, and the public IP. ( 173.2.183.98 )

I also read the user wiki on the site, still can't connect.

The server port is not the same as the remote admin port. Use port 2153.

Ok. Thanks. I'll try that.

Meh. Any ideas now?

You mentioned LAN IP, so I assume the server is behind a router. Probably not forwarding the port.

Well. Port is forwarded. It's quite the popular server. I want to try and connect to it when I can't play the game the server is on. Everything works but this

If you're using port 2153 and the public IP and it's still not working then you have some kind of router or firewall issue.

I'm feeling I need to forward 2153...

Yessss......

Ha. To what service and is it TCP or UDP? Or both?

TCP only should be fine.

...To what service...

I don't understand the question. What are the options? TCP Port 2153 should be all you need to know.

In example, for a regular server:

HL2SteamSrv1 TCP/UDP 27015 27015 <lan>
Service TCP/UDP start end IP

Also, when I try the lan with 2153, it says username or pass is incorrect, but I'm sure it's correct.

It sounds like you call it whatever you want.

Hmmm.. I suppose I can call it SourceOP. Heh.. I'll give it a try.

Alright. Everything works now. Thanks for the help. However, I still have the problem with the username/password. :\

Yes, remote admin users are separate. You will need to follow the instructions here:
http://www.sourceop.com/wiki/Managing_Remote_Client_Users

I've already been there and I already set up a user.

I dunno then. Make sure the password is on the first line of the user file and that the user file is in the correct place. Otherwise, try a simple password (a couple of letters or something) to see if that helps. I only suggest that because maybe you have invalid characters in the password or something.

Ok Thank you. I'm probably going to end the conversation here today because my battery is dead. But still, thank you for everything. =)

Ugh. I made two letter password and failed.

ha

Players = abcdefghijklmn
AdminInfo = ab
Chat = abcdef
Administrative = abcdefghijklmnopq

Then the only thing I can think of is the file is in the wrong place or you are somehow typing the username or password incorrectly.

The text file must be in addons\SourceOP\users.

Ok. I'll try making the username one letter and the password one letter. Thanks for the help.
