Just to set a few things straight:

Your recent accusations have been borderline psychopathic. We hadn't made any comments about goldrush prior to your post in fusion's thread, which started this whole shitfest. Don't act like you were defending your server- you were just looking to start a fight.

You either can't read or are purposely sticking your head in the sand.

Here is sk8 comments page one (Notice I hadn't said anything at this point) of the Highlander thread. A thread that should have been completely unrelated to Gold Rush.

I am not even going to take the time to post all the Gold Rush threads as you need to start learning how to search and read for yourself. Most anti-Gold Rush comments were made before I posted regularly. I have responded as of recent. You (all) can use my recent posts as a reason to justify your poor attitudes but it still doesn't change your poor attitudes.

Most of us on this forum like to make fun of goldrush jokingly. We think it's a bad map and full of stackers, so we make silly threads and roll our eyes at it. We never made vitriolic posts about individual people on the goldrush server. Your problem is that you took it all personally, then started attacking us personally, and I think you've taken it too far.

Maybe it is time to get some new material (and by the way you have just admitted to anti-Gold Rush comments while previously denying it). I know what you guys think of Gold Rush, I read this forum on a regular basis. Yet, at the same time you DON'T PLAY IT so don't make assumptions of Gold Rush regulars and then get fuming mad when I make assumptions concerning all maps players. My problem maybe that I am taking the time to respond to at you all and trying to make you see that Gold Rush members are JUST AS MUCH AS PART OF this community as you guys. Therefore, a member of this community should be able to post about a map and a style of play they love and not immediately be on the defensive.

If any of us want to have this little ego competition take place, we're going to have to keep things civil. Keep the comments to typical "my team can beat your team" trash talk, not "Fusion you're a failure of a life and get a girlfriend" mmmk? And let's also drop the whole stats thing- it only makes you seem snobby and in 87 days I'm sure you have realized that stats are not a good indication of skill.

Well, once again, don't try to apply a double standard. If Fushion calls me a retard then I may feel the need to respond with a similar comment. I have no problems showing respect even while not getting it but when someone goes on the outright attack against me, then I will defend myself. You may not like my return comment but you should also understand that I probably didn't enjoy your previous comment.

I dislike goldrush, I dislike the type of crowd that it attracts, I previously had nothing against you, piggy, etc. You, however, are throwing around accusations about individual players. That's what prompted fusion to call you a retard. Also the "get a girlfriend" argument is pretty pathetic, and it's where you lost any credibility in my eyes.

I don't think this discussion is productive, so I'm just going to stop posting in this thread, unless it's to comment on hell-met's next masterpiece.

I play Gold Rush, you cannot dislike the "crowd" and distinguish it from the individuals who play it. I have 51 days played on the server, so that makes me apart of the crowd. Your problem is you think that your attempt to be general in your statements toward the Gold Rush server, its players, and the play shouldn't be taken personally by those who enjoy the server. However, whenever I have made broad generalizations and sweeping statements concerning the All Maps server, there has been comments made in protest (and rightfully so). Don't expect to make a ton of comments even general ones without the players of the Gold Rush server including myself responding.

Fushion called me a retard because he wants to get out of playing me unless its 100% solely on his terms. Instead of just saying no, he cloaks his response in an attack on my intelligence (or maybe the intelligence of a retard, who knows). The getting a girlfriend comment was made in the similar manner as fusions comment toward me. Losing all credibility would mean that I had credibility. I am willing to guess that I didn’t have any to begin with and part of the reason (and A STUPID ONE) is because I love playing Gold Rush. Now either you can dish out and take it or you shouldn’t dish it out at all but the absolutely horrible response is to dish it out and then become indignant when a member of the Gold Rush server responds in a similar manner.
You are right, I don’t know Fushion. For all I know, he could be a millionaire on the verge of marrying some Victoria Secret model and just really loves to kill time playing TF2. On the flipside, you can only guess as to whether or not I was a PhD student, who loves playing Gold Rush, takes time to accomplish goals (even with his video game play), and wants everyone to enjoy the experience. But I guess us Gold Rush players should like being called retards and keep our mouths shut. I am just the type of person that eventually responds and I have no problem doing so in a similar manner to a derogatory post.

I think it’s extremely productive. At the very least, I want you guys to realize you can’t keep making this place a hostile environment for Gold Rush posters. Whether its “joking” (yet, comments have proven to show an actual disdain) with your comments or being “general,” the people I play with should be able to post here as well and discuss their enjoyment of TF2, sourceop, and the Gold Rush server. Furthermore, All Maps players don’t have exclusive rights on the definition of a good TF2 player or are the sole proprietors of “good” TF2 players. They exist on all servers.

I, personally, love the idea of the TEAM environment and couldn’t give one crap about you beating me one-on-one. I would be a little more humbled if your team throttled my team. I would like to think of myself as a “good” team player. You guys may criticize me for being a points leech (by the way a “personal” assumption) but when I join a team that is one more person playing medic where as the other team may have to gripe to get someone to switch. Also, I can easily ask teams for more medics and they cannot come back with “why don’t you play medic” as a response.
