You looked like a complete ass in that trade. He is not in the wrong to only accept gift payments.
Many people assume that some comments are sarcastic when they aren't. Same goes for your case. I didn't say it was wrong or anything, I just thought there was no harm asking since thats what I always get from others anw. So yea.
huh. It really looks like you were being sarcastic. So many people say that sarcastically now a days that people just assume that everyone is.
Now you know why people make trouble irl? Thanks to assumptions. Well, thats the world now anyway, regardless of online or not.

I believe when I said 'to cut things short' its straightforward already. Sarcasm when I said good luck? Thats an assumption since many people cant really differentiate just like you said.

To be fair, that guy was a kind of an idiot, and you could have been a little nicer to him in your conversation.

So, you're saying you'll be nice to someone who keeps throwing idiotic claims like those in the picture? Wonder who would. Not even you, will.

Well maybe no so much nice as explanatory. When he said the he didn't accept anything but gifts as a form of payment, you could have said "Well I'm not from the United States and as such I cannot send the payment to you as a gift, but I do have solid enough reputation to where you can trust me to send it in another form of payment." If he continued to be an ass about it, by all means start to tear into him, but the misunderstanding of your inability to send a payment as a gift was what led to the conflict and overall failed trade, and if you had made that clear initially he may have gone along with the trade.
edit: spelling

If not, and he really was too impatient, then you should be glad you didn't trade with him. This market has no place for people who are impatient or easily deterred (Read: the standard tf2op "quick buyer").
People should be used to steam trading fucking up by now. I very rarely get a trade to go through right the first time.
