What is Player Limit Remover exactly about?
#1

I found this plugin in the downloads section:

Player Limit Remover Linux 1.2.1 (TF2)
Description: The Player Limit Remover plugin for Linux TF2. The tarball contains the .so file only. To make the vdf to load the plugin, see http://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/...g_a_Plugin
Version: 1.2.1 Filesize: 110.83 Kb
Added on: 15-Feb-2008 Downloads: 614

What exactly does this do? Does it make the server owner able to make the server display for example X/33 or lets say X/36 players on the in game server list?

Do I need anything else to install to make this work? And how exactly do I tell the plugin on how many slots to display?

No. It's for games that impose a limit on maxplayers when it can actually handle more. TF2 used to be one of those. TF2 has a maxplayers limit of 24, but 32 would work just fine. The plugin enabled you to set maxplayers of 32. However, now the maxplayers limit is the same as the game's real limit.
