VALVE/STEAM can suck me sideways!!!
#1

So I asked for Arkham City for Christmas. My step dad, (who is a gamer himself) went into his Steam account, and purchased the following items for me:

Arkham City
2 DLC Packs for Arkham City
Dead Island

Now, somewhere, somehow, he or STEAM screwed up something.

Dead Island, did not come through to me, as I already have it. So he kept it in his stash, and decided to send it to one of his friend's account instead. (so far, so good)

I received the 2 DLC packs, but not Arkham City. Somehow, that game wound up attached to his account, and was "redeemed".

Batman is a game my step dad has ZERO interest in. And now I, am apparently stuck with 2 DLC packs I cannot use, because I do NOT have Arkham City.

After numerous emails to Valve, and explaining all this to them, they have stated that because the game has been redeemed, there is nothing they can do, and they are sorry to hear that we are dissatisfied with their service.

In other words, we can go #(@& ourselves.

GG Valve. Way to go that extra mile for the customer!

I agree. This time however, they have done wrong. QUITE WRONG. They have the power to remedy this, yet they choose not to.

I spent A LOT of money on this company. Not anymore!

Except most of the time they play helpless for seemingly no reason. The delay on responses can be pretty bad sometimes too.

I was a commando you know.

I had my first account disabled for no reason. I just tried to open Steam one day, and it said my account had been "temporaroly" disabled. I contacted Steam Support, and they just said it was disabled for doing something in TF2 (they never said what happened) and refused to tell me anything else. I had to get a new account and buy the orange box again.

This also happened to me, was a LONG time ago, but still, had to re-buy all of the like 5 games on my account. They wouldn't help me at all.

Can anyone tell me why this kid got banned?

You're step dads pretty stupid, it seems. Games on steam ALWAYS auto redeem unless you hit "Buy as Gift". I don't see how any of this is valves fault.
