I was just on the SourceOP 32 man/instant respawn 2Fort server, and the user
obstructor was serially sticky trapping sapwn in spite of my repeated requests not to do so. There was all of 4 people on the server, so it was hardly a serious game. The other red player,
TIKI built an L3 sentry in front of our spawn and propped the door open to fire inside. I moved to spec and screencapped it:
Sticky trapping spawn is clearly a dick move on 2Fort, but is it specifically against the rules on SourceOP? It's certainly against the spirit of things when the server is nearly empty.

I invite you to read the Server Rules first.

Server Rules and FAQ Wrote:Question: Spawn camping - is it lame and can we kick the jerks doing it?Quick Answer: Nope
Long Answer: Play better.
Long Long Answer: Work as a team, build ubers, go out secondary doors and continue to work as a team to push the other team back. Some maps this is more difficult than others, especially with a coordinated camp. But if everyone works together (remember, people that stand by the doors to open them just so the team can get killed are technically griefing at that point), it shouldn't take more than 60 seconds to break the camp. Treat it as a challenge, not a problem.
Don't do this to me ;_;

I see two parts to this:

(Emphasis mine.)
Noted. However, Tiki was in fact propping the spawn door open. With two people on each one (dropping to 2 v 1 after one of the blue players left) there is a very finite amount of strategy that can be employed.

I think this might apply here at least slightly. When the instant respawn 2Fort server is full, it's my favorite place to play the map. I actually find 2Fort kind of boring from a competitive sense until it is overloaded with players who are continually respawning. Then it is glorious TDM with very rare instances of flag capturing. Often when the server is as sparsely populated as it was last night, the players agree to a more silly form of TF2 ... melee or taunt kills only etc etc. I maintain that when server is practically empty going full tryhard and spawn camping is kind of a dick move, whether or not it is against the letter or the spirit of the SourceOP rules.

did you try bonk
The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth becomes the greatest enemy of the State.

It's a cheap tactic but not against the rules.
As womb mentions you could try bonk or
-Go pyro to airblast
-Go demo and spam stickies to push/destroy his
-Respawn in the other spawn
-Call for an uber
-Ask for help
-Tease the door and make him prematurely detonate them then push
-Quit the game and play solitaire

That however, is against the rules.
But the other can easily be avoided (as mentioned above) to spawn at the other location. Though very annoying if you get killed most of the time with the sentry shooting inside spawn.

I'm aware

. But yes, demo next time would be great if you haven't captured it already.
