Here's the story of events. I was explaining to a friend of mine on the server why a mutual friend of ours got banned. This apparently warranted a gag for some reason. So I just kept playing for about 15 minutes and then i lost connection to the server. When I came back into the server I was almost immediately banned for "gag avoidance" even though it was no fault of my own that my internet went down. I would like my ban to be lifted.

Also if you have the time I would like to be shown where in the rules telling one player why another player was banned is grounds for being muted. Thank you.

Reviewing the logs now but it appears you were 1. warned to bring discussions for admin actions on the server to the forums per server rules, 2. were swearing at the admins while gagged, and 3. disconnected almost as soon as you saw you were still gagged (though inconclusive if it was internet issues). Based on 1 and 2, pretty sure ban is proper, but as I said, log review continues.

correction** Poly told me to fuck myself, falc asked to be ungagged (clearly showing he knew he was gagged) full unedited log was given to dopp.
edit:
in addition, context of rest of log, trying to warn his team about bridge then dc/reconnect a second later and says "what i was trying to say" or whatever shows clear intent imo. and just to test the waters after that, asked me by name about a spray to see if i was still on would reply/react.
I stand by the ban.
Thanks.

Where is the rule regarding "letting a friend know why a mutual friend was banned" that got me the gag in the first place?
Yeah I couldn't find it either...

You linked half the rules thread and not the rest, conveniently omitting the most relevant one to your complaint.
ibby Wrote:Question: I dont agree with some of this or, I want to comment on Admin's performance - doing that on the server is the best idea, right?
Quick Answer: No.
Long Answer: If you have any questions, comments or snide remarks regarding rules or Admins or the combination of the two in action, take it to the forums instead. Doing so on the server is disrupting others from enjoying the game and will in almost all certainty, get you an extended break from the server.
This is what the original gag was for, after my warning, at least one person continued on and so everyone involved in the discussion was muted to prevent it continuing.
The eventual ban was for gag avoidance, not talking about another users ban (I dont think anyone objectively reading this actually believes your story of why you gag avoided, including many admins) after speaking to another admin who already commented and the head server admin who was linked here, who said it was justified and that at least three other admins were aware but chose not to comment. I am marking this thread as no action (case closed).
edit: See admin section for remote log/his previous post
Thanks.
