Okay so today I was banned. While I was playing on the no mods TF2 server a friend on Steam told me a command that is supposed to crash a server when you type it in the console. I didn't believe him and thought that Valve wouldn't have a command that would do that. I typed it to see if it would work and apparently it does, since the server banned me right when I typed it. This is my favorite server and have been playing on it for months. I am doing well in the ranks and wish I could be playing on it again. Curiosity got the best of me I guess.

Yes the command will crash servers. I patched my servers so that instead of crashing it will ban the player that ran the command. Why should I unban someone who is interested in crashing my servers?

Well I just thought I'd try it on a server that I was already on. obviously I wouldn't try it again.

heh ya but what if it would havee crashed the server? then what? you probably would have told your friends and then they all would have crashed the same server or others

Well I consulted with Kaylee and she quoted Napoleon and said:

But to follow that logic, it was his incompetence that resulted in the server not being crashed, therefore his lack of malice would have been directed at his friend, for failing to crash it in the first place.

By Napoleons logic he attempted to crash the server, only his failure can be attributed to incompetence.
