It was a hot summer night. I had been studying all week for finals, and I was glad to have them over with. The pressure was over, but the tension remained as I decided to look around for servers to join and test the new replay ability.
I rarely play on 2Fort and was about to skip over it in the list, but I noticed that it had the replay feature enabled. I joined the game on a whim. As the loading screen appeared, something inside me snapped. All of the angst and emotion that had built up over the past few days of studying was unleashed.
As soon as I spawned I started trash talking for no reason. Innocent Engineers were laid waste to in the literal and verbal sense through text. Just as I was making my get-away with the Intel with the opposing team in hot pursuit I was shot down--not by the other team, but Drunken F00l himself.
I can understand how many people would say that my discipline is justified. What did those Engineers ever do wrong? They were guarding the intel with their life, so that hopefully one day they could raise little Engineers of their own to go out and hopefully spawncamp themselves.
I plead insanity. I don't know what got into me. Those Engibros weren't in the wrong, I was. I believe it's time to break bread (or Sandvich, as it were), and try to look for a common ground. Are we really that different from each other?
I just talked to Drunken F00l over Steam, he seems like a wonderful person. Perhaps he accidentally blocked me, or maybe his internet went out. Whatever the case, I would like to resolve this issue in the most gentlemanly manner as possible.
If you, or the Engineers would like some sort of compensation for what occurred this fateful Friday morning, I believe that would be justified. Please let me know, as I do enjoy playing on your servers.
