I think this seems reasonable because Sudden Death only lasts like 3 minutes... is it possible to make it impossible to kick someone during sudden death? Because every player counts during SD, it's really bothersome to have someone kicked over a reserve slot... people who want to join will have to either join when the server is not full or when sudden death ends.

Well, then people with reserved slots couldn't get in (and that's the point of having one). A more reasonable thing to do would be kick dead people only.
