I came home today to find out my steam account had been disabled. Without any reason what so ever, it just happened while I was away. I have NEVER EVER tried to scam anyone or do anything wrong.

So I sent a Support Ticket reguarding what has happened. Maybe someone tried to hijack my account and got the password wrong alot? I dont know. I'm just hoping they dont permenatly disable it, without any notice or actions done wrong.

I have done like two money trades and posted once in SPUF ( Only once ) received no warning, red flags, or any message at all.

My account page is still up, which is a positive sign.

Apparntly it got disabled at 8PM

Someone else had been using my computer at the time, and I dont think it had anything to do with it.

If anyone has a suggestion as to what has happened, i'd greatly appriciate it, even though I know none of you can auctually help the situation. Its 1AM here, and im going to bed, hopefully to have this conflict be resolved. Thanks for taking the time to reading and posting.

-btw, i tried to logon from a different computer, and it still said my steam account was disabled. It doesnt let me log onto the main page as well.

My account got randomly disabled once, after submitting a ticket and waiting a couple days someone from Steam Support contacted me:

It appears as though the account may have been hijacked by another user. Please follow the link below and take the prescribed steps to ensure the security of the account in the future:

I have reset the account password and sent the new login information in a separate e-mail. If you do not receive the e-mail and you are running a Spam filter, check and make sure the e-mail is not being filtered as spam.

Note: Passwords are all numbers.

The new Secret Question will be set to "What did customer service reset your password to?"

The answer to the Secret Question is the new password that we have sent to you as mentioned above.

Once you login to the Steam Account, please change your password, secret question and validate your email address as outlined here:

Yeah.. ( the account is initially on my brother's account, so he did it ) I got a email to reset my password; but turns out that doesnt really do anything. Tried to log in once again and my account is still disabled..

You have traded multiple items with multiple users with nothing in return. Please explain these trades as they have been reported as fraudulent.

Has anyone ever encountered this before? I know alot of people sell stuff for money/games, but why close my account all of a sudden? I responded, hopefully being able to reason with the guy.

As a seller, i have traded hundreds of items away with no items in return ( thousands if you count keys and refined). I have never recieved a message like that.

My idle account was also disabled several weeks ago for two days. I received an email asking me to hand write the steam ticket above the original cd key. I then had to take a picture of it and send it in. My account was quickly restored soon after. Good luck to you.

where you find that? cos I bought it back then as orange box with my credit card directly on steam if memory serves.

guess the mail of it would count, but no idea if I still have that.

At first I thought it was a hijacked probelm, as people usual send in thier CD-KEYs with like thier name and such on it.
( Remember, it just got disabled instantly )

It wasnt until the support guy responded, that I flipped out.

I'm waiting untill he responds once again, to get an update.

If at worst, I will tell him to wipe my TF2 items.
( They havnt really said selling/buying items is exactly illegal, or else they would of closed the millions of thread posted everyday . )

But this makes NO SENSE WHATSOEVER

How am I a fraud by giving away items for nothing in return? Just my rant here.
