I am not sure where to post this so I am throwing it under general chat.

I do believe I have been permabanned while spending less than a minute on the SourceOP prop hunt server...I played all of maybe 10 seconds of banana phone which many others enjoyed.

At some point a votekick was started by another member in the game "bi-sexual charizard" who was unhappy with me playing the song. I had stopped and the votekick had failed to even iniate. I did say "you mad bro?" because of the ease of him taking 1 second to mute me or just ask me to stop rather then get in a bunch about it.

I am unsure of the admin who may have layed down the perma ban hammer for as I didn't see an admin tag nor was I warned of my actions before the hammer dropped.

I am cool with getting kicked for mic spamming, but a perma ban?

Seems pretty low to me.

I guess what I am saying is, it isn't very hard to ask nice or even be nice when it was barely spamming :/... but meh. I enjoy the server a lot otherwise I wouldn't be spending the time to make an account and ask about it.

People were singing on their mics the banana phone song, so I played a few secs of it...

My opinion is why don't you respect other people's game time and keep your mic spamming and brofag "umad" responses to yourself and take the respective ban like a grown adult.

Like I said though thats my opinion.

On a serious note, seeing as the guy had never played on the server before and thus didn't know about the mic spam rule, perhaps a temp ban would be more appropriate. There are guys on that server who do way more annoying shit but who aren't banned.
