Can I please get some clarification on a few of the rules:

Question: Porn/shock sprays are okay, right?
Quick Answer: No.
Long Answer: No. Models might be fine, but it's better you don't try to find a line and just get a funny 'Teleporter order' spray instead. There's a web browser in the steam overlay if you need to look at that kind of thing. Leave it off the server.

I've been playing on this server for my small bit of time and I've seen quite a few tits/bush get posted on the walls all the time (this is not a rare occurrence, as in every day) however people seem to freak out whenever a spray that contains a penis is posted somewhere. How often does the spray rule actually get enforced as this does not seem fair. I've played here and there on the server and people have posted even gifs of penetration and fucking, but whenever it's dick by itself, people start wailing this is not okay. Can I ask for a greater level of consistency?

Either it's allowed because we're adults and porn is everywhere or ban all jpgs of boobs. At the same time allow people to understand that porn is not to be posted on the server anymore as I stated this is an every day thing.

Long Long answer: SourceOP is a community where people come to have fun. You violated a rule, without a second thought. The first rule in this list is don't be an Obnoxious jerk. You really violate that rule by violating any others. Obnoxious jerks aren't conducive to good times and having fun. You can post for an appeal on the SourceOP Server forums, but depending on your crime and how you approach the request will greatly influence the decision. We want everyone on SourceOP to have fun, and letting someone off the punishment they got for ruining the fun of others isn't something we would normally do; but we'll definitely listen to your case, just please be respectful and remember you weren't kicked/banned arbitrarily.

I had friends banned for being obnoxious however the ban time is not in line with the "Warn, gag, 1 week, Lifetime".

Additionally I'd like to see the ban page updated more often, even with temporary bans as that can make the idea of tracking and traceability a lot easier. Banning someone for "jerk" with no further explanation almost seems like hate than admin-ing. Is this much possible?

I dont care if butts/chests personally, if penis or vagina or worse, I will give a warning then ban. If we are not on and dont see it, its still against the rules, this is clarified in the FAQs already, I dont see any recent complaint threads for sprays in this section.

I am not going to speak to specific cases of a user being banned for "jerk" but, for example, instigating an admin is also covered in the FAQs, they are usually lucky its not a permanent ban to begin with.

Long Answer: We didn't see them doing it. We saw you doing it. If there was a problem before, and we missed it, we apologize. However, you broke the rules and were punished. If you see someone doing the same, please use "contact admin" so we can take care of that in the future.

Any time an admin is on the rule gets enforced. Admins are not on 24/7. The rule probably isn't enforced the rest of the time because the server as a group can't even seem to kick for more obvious and annoying things like griefing or hacking.

The bans were in line with the rules. The ban page is updated with every ban, even the automated temp ones. Due to character limits in the ban notes, putting in things like 'jerk', 'micspam', 'antagonizing admin', 'ban avoidance' is prefered versus a long drawn out entry such as 'was yelling on the mic, antagonized admin saying they have no power here' or 'antagonized an admin in chat, then called an admin a faggot and left before a ban could be applied, then was banned next time they joined, then joined on an alt and got banned for ban avoidance'.

No, because there already is. If a spray is reported to an admin and it's porn/repulsive/against the rules, it's dealt with. Yeah, there's going to be times a bad spray lingers around the map. Most of the time people don't like it and talk about it in chat but overall, they're too lazy to attempt to get an admin. And sometimes an admin isn't on. But ultimately, we can't do anything about it we have no knowledge of it.

With the times I've had to sit through your mic spam, I wouldn't say you're an adult. So there goes allowing it all because adulthood. And banning all images of boobs won't happen either.

I'm with YATO on chest/butts. I don't have a problem with it. But posting pics of dicks, vaginas, feces, hardcore porn (whether it be human or nonhuman), etc, you will be warned, then banned. While some people think a warn then ban approach might be harsh, a reasonable person, if warned about their spray, would go into their options and remove the spray. If they don't want to take the little time to do that or the decency to stop spraying it, then they have displayed zero regard for the situation, so they'll be removed.
