Today I was banned from the SourceOP servers (which are great and nearly always filled, which is a plus because I'm awake at weird hours) for making use of the multiple-buildings exploit that came with the TF2 patch. I did it because I find software glitches peculiar and little funny, and I planned to stop the moment someone asked me to. I now understand the reason for having zero tolerance for any possible exploits, but I want to make it known I apologize and have no intention to do it again, which is pertinent, as the bug is still live as of this post. Sorry!

I didn't really intend to grief anybody. I spent a couple arena rounds building an extra sentry or two, then in the last round I played I built a fence of level one dispensers around myself, resulting in my ban. My goal was primarily to entertain! I didn't notice anybody explicitly complaining about it (I might have not been paying attention here, but I doubt it). Anyway, I understand if it's permanent, you can't have jackasses having a field day with an exploit. I made a mistake in using the exploit without thinking about the consequences.

Well most servers are actually pretty lenient on exploits like these. They see them as a temporary upset that is in valve's court and not their administrative staff's and usually only ban people for doing something like this if they A.) only joined to exploit B.) are using it to grieve people or C.) It is a particularly harmful exploit (like server crashing, denial of service, etc)

hehe is good unbanned I agree but is funny how zero tolerance apparantly = some tolerance with nicely worded apology
