The issue isn't my care for HLX. I would *love* if my score was reset. It would be such a great feeling of schadenfreude to be able play as if I'm a new player.
The issue is how other people play. I currently already have a key bound to turn off* hlx_display, but that doesn't change the fact that other people, be they friend or foe, run from every opportunity to advance the team to capture the flag if it means risk of their HLX score going down.
A few days ago the intelligence to win the game was on the bridge. ANY type of push involving using the dead ringer or bonk to keep it alive while an uber was built up would have grabbed it and won. The opposing team had the coordination to pull that off as well. Despite that, no one bothered to do so because they were coddling their HLX scores.
Regardless of how little I care about HLX, it doesn't mean HLX stats do not adversely affect the game.
