CTF maps just need to be shorter... 35 minutes is too long. 20 minutes is good.

TF2 is not a single player game

Really?
I've seen epic comebacks from the losing teams just because they managed to cap the intel.
It has to be something more than plain deathmatch!
Well good for you. It's still a shitty ctf map imo.

Well then I should point out that even though TF2 shipped with 6 maps, cp_well wasn't on the sourceop server for a long time. It was just gravelpit, granary, dustbowl, 2fort, and hydro.
Last night we had 14v15 on goldrush, then sat at about 8v8 on ctf well for a good 15 minutes before it finally started filling back to the 10 and 12 range.
Hey, DF, would it be possible to make some of the more beloved maps occur more frequently in the rotation? Either by some sort of semi-random assignment with probabilities, or by an extended rotation table. I doubt anyone would argue with maps like gravelpit, dustbowl, and goldrush coming up more than once per full cycle.

Hmmm, I could've sworn I played well on the valve maps server back then. I guess you're right though, after looking at the hlstats map statistics the number of kills is lower than the other 5 original maps. My bad. >.<

I was gonna say basically what ret said, I saw alot of turtling on both version of well, that may be why the kill stats are down.

i always feel that ctf is a breath of fresh air after cp. Although, as ppl have said, the quality of the game depends on the players, i feel that ctf is much more dynamic.
Idk maybe because there are less engis so the whole map is free??
I like ctf!!

They fixed the bad textures, the broken trains and the misleading signs since it's release.
I can not see what is making it any worse than 2fort.

No, it's not because of turtling. It's because for over a month (don't remember exactly how long) df didn't have cp_well in rotation because he didn't like it as much as the TFC version.
I'm sure he'll remind you noobs when he reads :O
