Radio upgrade
#1

i like your radio idea and i have a few ideas on how to make it better

if there is anyway, i think it would be nice is the radio could play music off of the client comp as well as the server, or opposed to the server

also having the ability to incress the range of the sound either by a cinfig file on the server or by the client

also looking forward to seeing how the equalizer works

Problem with playing music that resides on the client is only the client with the mp3/wav will be able to here it. I like to be able to make it so everyone can hear what is playing.

As it is now, the equalizer doesn' work. Haven't started work on it yet. It's going to be similar to the AdminOP "equalizer" where you can set some settings for how the sound plays (pitch, volume, or preset).

im looking for something like this tp put on my CSS server at IP:66.37.156.136:27015

Something where players have a little menu and can play their own song, but only they can here it. Every player can play his or her song at the sametime as everyone else.

But yeah i dont want HUGE ass dloads either

the only way to do this is to get teamspeak and give people HLSS (?acronym right?) and people get pissed off at that...

Ha, i play my own music in steam all the time.

I just extract the songs to my sound folder, and use play to activate them in game.

I can never find the SourceOp radio when it spawn, I want it right next to me but it's usually behind the walls of the map.

Well that's certainly a problem. Do you use Linux srcds? Have you seen this thread:
