Cognitive abilities such as those are consistent with the brilliance that led to me being kicked a couple weeks ago while Half Duplex trash-talked for 30 minutes straight.

You were told why you were kicked last time. You were ignoring me and insulting me in front of the entire server. You have no respect for admins and then you come here and insult us on our forums.

Also, Half Duplex was temp banned for his part in that situation and it didn't happen the way you say it did.

I don't appreciate the fact that you are basically calling me "retarded" without actually saying my name. I had nothing to do with your current complaint and you're pulling an old incident up as another way to insult me.

To be honest, nobody deserves respect for being an admin. That is the same logic that allows cops to taze people and the CIA to murder people for being "terrorists". Having an authority over anyone or anything does not mean you are a superior human and it does not mean you can shove anyone around because you feel "personally offended".

If they are not breaking a server rule, you can not mandate them to do anything. Insulting you, personally, is not a server rule. If the servers let any admin dictate the entire community for any reason they want, then everything goes to hell.

On the flipside, bringing up sexual issues, race issues, or personal issues has no place in TF2. Talking shit related to the game is part of the game, and it is a part of every online game, but personal issues have no place anywhere. Calling people scrubs or noobs is not equal to calling someone a jerk or asshole or faggot. If someone questions adminship, it should not be an instant punishment just because you feel personally insulted. Admins in any server, in any country, need to accept criticism. Am I saying you were wrong? No, I don't know the ENTIRE story, but your logic is that YOU were PERSONALLY insulted and you reprimanded someone for that reason, and that is abuse of authority in the clearest sense. Nobody should be special for being an admin, they should only enforce the server rules and nothing else.

Summary: Personal insults are not illegal. People are insulting all the time on the servers, just because it is against an admin does not make it a special situation and it shouldn't. The server rules state no racism and sexism, and that is about it, but as far as I see anyone is free to criticize or be a jerk to anyone provided it is related to in-game issues, and not personal issues.

If I am wrong, right me and I will shut up, but that is how I have always known this server to be run.
