but yeah airblast + axtinguisher isnt hard and it makes noobs think theyre godlike when they pull one off

I just airblast+shotgun. The axtinguisher is usually overkill on anything that has a medic, and if something has a medic on it, I'm not going to try to melee it.

I only use the axtinguisher if something doesn't know I'm coming, One puff and by the time the fire registers on them I can already be swinging my axe.
