Jet Set Radio Future - Garage level in TF2 (WIP)
#1

Hello SourceOP,

I managed to extract models and textures from the xbox game Jet Set Radio Future and though "oh hey what do I do now with these models, I like this game, why not port this level to TF2!?"

So I think it would make a cool prop-hunt map, quite frankly the map "cyberpunk" probably gave me this idea =D since its reminescent to Jet Set Radio along other with anime stuff.

So let me know, admins if you're intrested in getting this level or another from JSRF for prop hunt, and if so how should I make the props for the players "to be props".

I plan to port another bigger level called "Shibuya Terminal" but first I wanted to try something smaller for a first port, also learning Hammer.

I don't want these levels to be for shotting and stuff, rather for mods or as trade map.

So here's what it looks like so far, with not lights at all, yeah so its all freaking bright and has not shadows yet.

cyberpunk makes me cringe, anyhow... where would the props hide?

Thanks.

Well if you saw the video there's no props yet, I have to compile those props from JSRF and make some be real props of the map and then use the same for the players, eventually make the real props respawn at different positions for each round so it makes it more challenging for the pyros hunting.

But there aren't much spots on this map to hide just blending in.

Though i can easly make a prop for the player be a small building so that'd be the tricky prop =P

Yeah you shouldn't see any HL2, its all extracted straight from JSRF (http://jsrf-inside.blogspot.com/), as for the fullbright, well I redid the skybox but doesn't show any leak error and it doesn't compile with Rad on :S

The level is splitted in static/dynamic props (about 10) and built the collision with nodraw brushes, I hope i can compile this with a sun light and an env light, just first time hammer, heh.
