Hello,
I've been playing on your server on/off for atleast 5 years now. It's the only one I have in my favourites because there aren't any servers alike.
Shortly before I was banned there were 2 aimbotters in the server. The reason given when I was banned was "Recent VAC". I hope that, given the circumstances, you didn't think I was one of them. My recent ban was from Rust.

My profile is now public.
I'm an amateur programmer and enjoy coding in my spare time. I own a Logitech G303 mouse and recently found a function in the API that handles mouse movements and wondered if it would work with weapon sprays. I would never do anything maliciously or to ruin the experience for other players so I started my own private Rust server as this was ONLY a proof of concept and would never give myself an unfair advantage against other players.
Other than that my record is perfectly clean.

After a discussion with other admins, a game ban does not automatically mean the ban was for cheating and not for something else. We do not have a "game ban" rule per-se and their was no clear consensus among admins. Ill still perm for recent VACs on sight tho as they are expressly for cheating. Saying that, does seem like what you did could be cheating. Probably best to stay clear of any further proof of concepts around sop/source.
Ban has been lifted, yes, the server must restart tho before the lift goes into effect.
