[OLD] suggestion/feedback thread

You Are The One Wrote:Since the global rule reset a few months back, also I have notice you already viewed and accepted these rules earlier today, so makes me wonder if you actually read them the first time or if you are coming back from a long break at SOP.
It's been awhile, but I think I just missed that there is a drop down tab on the rules page. I think it forced me to view and accept them again in response to receiving an infraction. Might I ask why trading is limited to paypal now?

Receiving an infraction does not reset the rules, possible but not sure the mod/admin who applied it to you may have reset it for you.

As for part two, I am not an expert in all forums of payment systems nor do we have the staff/time to learn. It has been suggested and being looked into internally to re-allow some, but these other methods are far harder to independently verify in general and why they are frowned upon.

Thanks.

An unfortunate but understandable situation. TF2OP had decided to make trading in bitcoins against the rules awhile back, but reversed there decision a few weeks later. I really hope this rule is looked into some more.

Too bad this is not TF2OP

Thanks.

So, I know that trading things like gamekeys and such is against the rules but I was wondering about trading services that are tf2 related. Specifically, I'd like to design and sell custom automated trade bots to interested parties. So in exchange for tf2 items I'd code custom logic and handlers for users and then package it all together and send it to them. Is this something I can do via SourceOP?

Can I use SourceOP to build rep for programming and designing custom automatic trade bots for people. I know that trading other intangible things like gamekeys is against the rules but I wasn't sure if a service this tf2 related would be permissible. Obviously, trading programming skills to people is very rep dependent and sourceOP is a good place for building that reputation, but only if it's allowed within the current rules structure.

See: http://forums.backpack.tf/index.php?/top...entry54811

For a more specific explanation of what I am trying to do. I'd like to move that thread to SourceOP and being using it to build rep, but I do not know if that's allowed.

@ Nietzsche; sorry no.

Understand completely. Thanks for the reply.

I don't get a few things.

I got some time a go an infraction from you are the one beacouse I posted a trade about a few dota 2 keys.
I ended up selling them on reddit and totally forgot to have the trade open.

the infraction was named ''dota 2 items are not allowed''.
in the rules all I can find is this:
Quote:- Don't sell items outside of source/steam or items in non-steam based economies (ex. cars, shoes, cellphones, RSGP).
but dota 2 is part of the steam economy.

now I have a few cs:go keys,am I allowed to sell them here? just asking I don't want the infraction to be cancelled or start a flame.

read the name/descriptions of the sections

TF2 Unusual Trading/Buying/Selling
