I think a DoD server might be cool (vanilla), as for CSS only if it did stock maps and no mods.
I so much as a tf2 server how about one similar to valve maps no mods and instant respawn, that way you can capture the desires of both types of players the ebb and flow type and the instant gratification tweakers.
In the case of the instant respawn you may want to consider dropping a few maps that would be difficult to play with no respawn time. Goldrush, gravelpit are 2 that come to mind.
