I have noticed that the rankings must have been never reset since sp first had them.
I know we dont play just for ranks but it would be nice if there was like a yearly or 6 month reset to allow people to atleast try to become high ranked.
Currently the top 5 have above 500,000 the top number one being over 750,000. A target no player is likely to get any time in the future.
Again just made this as a possibel change.
Offcourse if you dont want to just tell me to kindly fuck off :lol:

This would probably be bad because all the top point whores would rage.

Besides destroying your own buildings removes the points.

like I said, that would make the point whores rage (good thing for us, bad thing for the server)
By point whores I just mean people who play in a way as to avoid losing points. Basically the jumpinthefire playstyle - avoiding defending points so you don't get killed, running away from medic at end of uber to survive, having a medic on you all the time, etc.

aint giving a crap about the top scorers, just remove it altogether

Rank shouldnt be completly removed.
It gives long term players something to work for and keeps players in sp rather than jumping around.
The problem is when the top 10 have an amount of points that would take the rest of us like a year to get then it becomes pointless for us.
Half the top 30 dont even play that often now so I doubt there would be alot of rage.
Also as every one would be reset it would be simply a new start and gives them a reason to actually be active again.
Overall its up to SP its just an idea also i thought sp used gameon not hlstats

I have 60k in my rank with only 11d's of connection time. it's not hard it's just stupid.
