It really isn't that bad.
The whole system is pretty sleek. It's pretty much steam for ea games.

That is what I initially thought to but it really is better than most people would have you think. Though I doubt I will use it for any social chatting just because none of my friends are on there. But I bet it wouldn't fucking badger me about hats with advertisements in the chat window.
Keep in mind though I haven't used it all that much yet.

I do not care if Origin is actually better or worse than Steam. What disturbs me is that EA thinks they are allowed to do everything. They force people into using something by using a good bait just to get a bigger market share. That is a good example of the gaming scene's decay because of money as top priority.

This. And if EA has any success with Origin, others will follow. By the year 2020 we will have more digital distribution platforms than actual games.
