How old is your router? I get this with this shitty linksy's router that I have. I have to restart the router before it will see/connect to certain servers. To add insult to injury I haven't had this router for 6 fucking months it's requiring power cycles every few hours and I haven't had it for SIX months. Linksy's has gone downhill and this is the last one i'm buying.

it's fairly new... we got a gaming d-link but maybe it's the one that is routed from that one too... theres like 4 computers on our network and the one im directly hooked up to is a really old linksy

Try connecting directly into your computer instead of using the router. If that fixes it you need probably need to do a firmware update depending on how old it is. If it still doesn't work with a direct line it's your isp.
