I'm looking forward to buying a new computer. I don't know my budget but I'm looking towards keeping it low, while running most games decently. And I really don't know how to approach this, I want to build it as it saves money; but is it difficult to do so? Would buying parts from amazon be best? I really don't want a fancy case as long as it's a decent size and opens up pretty easily. Suggestions please? If you need more details, just ask. I can probably answer most questions.

This is where I learned to build my computer. Make a thread stating what your budget is, what you intend to do with a computer, and what part of the world you live in. Somebody will come up with budget level, mid-level and enthusiast level PCs depending on how much you want to spend. For the love of all that is holy, don't buy a prebuilt computer! It's easy to do yourself and it saves a ton of money. If you want to game, CPUs by Intel are the way to go. Look up benchmarks of the parts you want, figure out how to get bang for your buck.

Intel is good but if he's aiming to keep it gaming optimize he should consider AMD for price/performance. Also for the case, i've heard it a million times and I would have to say to get a Haf 932/X for your case as it is good for air cooling(and water cooling too) and the price is spot on.

I have had good performance and the price was very reasonable when I decided to go with AMD I am not saying Intel is bad at all but I was on a budget and it's my first build. I compared Intel and AMD price wise and i got everything for $1,000 cheaper. With Amazon you will need a lot of stuff and might have to wait longer or some parts , also think of the warranty and returns check out the sellers rep. The HAFX 932 Advanced case $149.00 this case gives you plenty of room and lots of air flow for evrything when u want to Overclock.Some good fans for your case would be Scythe 3000 great price and strong air flow. But not everyone can afford le intel. AMD is still an ok CPU for their prices (even though i'm an intel fanboy).

The only hope that AMD has in competing with Intel is their upcoming Piledriver, if it ends up like their faildozer then yeah AMD has no chance lol.
