mabey this is a dumb question, but i dont know what rate, cl_updaterate cl_cmdrate means. can someone explain me clearly so i could understand? :?

rate is max transfer rate in bytes/second
updaterate is how many game-status updates the server sends you per second
cmdrate is how many packets you send to the server per second with things like what keys are pressed and whether or not you are firing your weapon.
