I found it a bit repetitive...
I must confess that I too found the demo a bit, uh, repetitive. After this weekend, I'll probably pick up Red Alert 3 first. Once I finish that single-player(I need a break from FPS anyways), then I'll go get L4D in early December.

Well of course it's repetitive, it's one map and a half

World of Goo is ok. Kind of a 1-trick pony game

I didn't like how all of the characters play the same, either. The only two scenarios I found were: The director gives you good guns early, you win. The director spawns 90 zombies on top of you and you lose.
plus car alarms? if I were a zombie I wouldn't be like "LOOK, A CAR ALARM, LETS RUSH TOWARDS IT AN IGNORE ALL OF THE PEOPLE AROUND IT>!?"

"if i were a zombie" ...
I dont even know where to begin. That was so stupid.
And they don't rush the alarm itself, they still go after you.

Having been a major fan of zombie culture for quite some time I believe that L4D is one of the best put together games of it's type. You have unpredictable scenarios, zombies that run and mass at certain points, and leader zombies that add to the unpredictability of what will happen.
Just from the demo we've also seen that working together increases success while having stupid idiots doing stupid things usually leads to your death. This is normally what happens in most movies and everyone wants to punch that person. I think they did a great job on it but that's just me.

Figure I'll hold off on buying it until a few weeks after release. Hopefully by then any serious bugs will be addressed and the ass-hattery will have died down. Plus some random sale will pop up at Fry's probably when I go to return the router I picked up.
