Latency issues on valve maps 1 and 2.
#1

For the last month or so I've noticed a large shift in my latency on both sourceop valve map servers. While I start at my usual 60-80 range, it seems to randomly pop upwards of 300+ then slowly climb back down. All other sourceop or tf2 servers for that matter that I pop on never seem to have these issues.

Just curious if there is something that changed that I don't know about.

Drunken just got done with server maintenance this morning. All servers are back up and should be running lag free again.

My normal ping is 120-200. But if its laggy its 500-600.
Just wanted to say that... Suffer well my friend.

I just did a trace and 100 pings to your IP address. Everything seems fine.

The two valve maps server are on two different machines in two different data centers in two different cities. I'd be surprised if it's the server's fault.

Let me know any more details though and I'll keep looking.

It seems strange to me as well, but I still have noticed incredible jumps in latency while on both of those servers. I really don't know what could be going on as all the other sourceop servers treat me quite well. I'll be having my ISP come out and check my connection in the next week or so.

Try other servers (non-SourceOP 8O) and see what happens. Could be your game settings? Check your rates.

Tried all that, its only servers 1 and 2 that give me troubles.

Well then, it's either coincidence or something wrong with just those two servers.

Nothing strange on 24/7 2fort or goldrush?

Nothing with goldrush as far as I can tell, but the 2fort no bs server seems to likewise have this problem.

Well it would make sense if the Goldrush server also had it. The cause? I don't know. Message me on Steam sometime while you're noticing it.
