By Lynx I assume you mean Linux. I can't help you with number one. I don't know what the role play mod is and I also don't know what parts of SourceOP they use to help with the role play servers.
For installation though, see here:

That assumes you have shell access. If you don't, just extract the files on your machine. Upload the files inside the gamemod folder to the hl2mp folder on the server. Upload the file inside the bin folder to the bin folder on the server (not the hl2mp/bin folder, just the first bin folder).
