Increasingly awful lag the last few weeks on 2fort No Mods.

What's up with that? Today it was near unplayable for awhile.

It seems to be the server. Other servers aren't near as bad...

All the regulars have been moaning about it. Especially these last few days. It's really bad sometimes. Sad

Yeah, the lag's pretty fucking awful now. The worst it's ever been in the three+ years I've been hanging out in 2Fort nomods nobs. (an average of 40-60ms higher for me) And the random spikes are almost amusing since half of the team's bitchin' over vox the instant it happens (and blows whatever coordination you had going)

It's near impossible to find a competitive 2Fort server without superfluous ridiculous server crap.

Secondeded.

It seems to get worse by the day. At times it's unbearable and makes me feel like leaving the server. Could any admins with access to the server check it out please? If you can't fix it then at least let us know what's up?

Hmm, maybe it's not just the 2fort no mods server. The Valve Maps 1 sever was acting the same way this morning. Half second freezes and constant choppy jitters, people with good pings asking each other "anyone else lagging?".

I don't know what's going on, but it's annoying. Could it have something to do with them messing with the item servers for updates? Or is it just a problem with the SourceOP servers? I almost never play on other servers, not recently anyway, so I don't know.

And for some reason, ever since the most recent Steam client update, TF2 crashes every time I press TAB in-game. I've accidentally pressed it five times now. Sigh.

Not to mention this problem I've been having for several months now (ever since that server voice codec update, I think), where any mic I use outputs hellish static 75% of the time, ONLY with Source games. I've tried everything, and apparently Steam support can do nothing about it.

Drunkenfool, fix it! Fix it all! Now! Tongue
