Captaining is always a neat experience... and fun, if you win the cointoss.

haha he was referring to captaining his 6v6 team, not a highlander one. But skill wise we're each pretty good at our positions, we just need to play together more is just about it. I think we'll have it pretty cleaned up and playing well after a couple weeks. But yeah, good luck to you guys, and i hope to see you guys play some highlander with us from time to time.

Do you guys play just default maps or are there some customs thrown in?

Forgot to respond to this, for now we basically just do default maps, but we have done a full match on Mach4 and had a great time. I'd like to move on to a few more custom maps, but a lot of the players don't like downloading stuff etc. So until I get a little more solid player base i decide the map by putting up a map vote of some good maps of highlander that we hadn't played that night already...i throw custom maps in there sometimes but people don't vote for them . But before too awful long ill just force the issue.

would like to see how cp_freight would play in highlander since the middle is so open, and people would probably LOL at the trains

Freight plays very well in highlander (used to play it frequently on the Lost Continent private servers), i have it all setup and i think we'll give a couple customs a shot this weekend. Its probably much easier now as we didn't get fast download until a couple weeks ago.

I'd be interested in playing, I was actually going to try and play this past saturday but got distracted by something shiny or riding bicycles or something...

I don't know why I'm not in the highlander steam group... must have missed the invite or something. -.-

although i don't entirely know how no one invited you, but it probably has to do that most of the players are from the 24/7 Goldrush server (don't hate, i just want to frag), where i don't ever recall seeing a player with that name there, but i look forward to seeing you at one in the futre.

For the most part Avy frequents Valve maps #1, our clan server, and bball servers. That's probably why you haven't seen him.


I should play on there more because I think I'm the one that initially pushed for the goldrush server to be created back in May of last year. :lol:
