final fantasy was made for japanese? who says that? ever since squaresoft (now enix) began exporting games to america and europe, there have been american and european version of final fantasy series.

The games go global, but they are designed with the Japanese market in mind.
Know why Xbox sold poorly in Japan? It was targeted at Americans. The Japanese aren't big on First Person Shooters and the Xbox had very few good titles.

Back to the topic's subject..
If Half Life 2 was created into a movie, I don't know how that would effect a lot of adults who have never heard of the series. If you could put a high budget into filming and advertising, you could come out with a successful movie. Unfortunately, the movie wouldn't be exactly like the game, because it never is 8)
