Just spreading the word! Hope you guys can sign up a team or five!

CEVO has started what could be a revolutionary shift in NA 6v6 competitive play. They are dubbing it "The Vanilla Challenge."

Team Registration

Registration for this event will open on Tuesday, December 27th and will close on Thursday, February 2nd. In order for you team to be considered "READY" for the event, you must have six players on your roster all with their unique IDs filled in.

Tournament Format

The tournament will have a maximum of 64 teams competing on well-known competitive maps on a week-to-week basis. There will be a $5 per player entry fee and nearly $2,000 in cash prizes. Additionally, the top 6 teams will have a guaranteed spot in the upcoming Season 9 of CEVO's Team Fortress 2 league, where cash prizes will also be awarded to the winning teams.

Teams need a minimum of 6 players to participate and a minimum of 5 players to play a match.

As the name suggests, this tournament will be running a "vanilla" weapon loadout with the exception of the Medic's unlocks.

The allowed unlocks are as follows:

The Kritzkrieg
The Ubersaw
The Amputator

The allowed "re-skins" are as follows:

The Frying Pan
Sam & Max promotional items (revolver, lugermorph, etc.)
Penny Arcade Promotional items (minigun, watch)

Matches will be played to 30 minutes and the team with the most captures at the end of the match or the team with a cumulative win-difference of 5 will be declared the winner.

Division Structure and Prize Information

This tournament will consist of a single, all-are-welcome skill division that will play one match per week.

Teams are competing for both a cash prize awarded to the top 3 teams and a spot in the Main division in the upcoming season 9. First place will receive $1,000, second place will receive $600, and third place will receive $320.

Maplist

The map rotation will consist of competitive standards such as the stock maps cp_badlands and cp_granary and custom maps such as cp_warmfront and koth_pro_viaduct. The full maplist will be disclosed in the near future.

If it's a vanilla challenge the only maps they should play on should be the ones that were on release.

Also they should not allow any unlocks, put in damage spread, and put in the original jacked up crit rate.
