This might not belong here (if it doesnt I apologize).

I seem to lose connection to steam very easily. I join a trade server and jump around a bit trying to trade my unusual hat. Damage myself by using jetpack, then run to the locker and boom, back to basic hats (lost connection...) My trade server is also very laggy and slow, when it does work. Any kind of tips to fix this problem would be GREATLY appreciated!

I have tried to forward every port from TF2-Steam-Steamclient-Steam Server-Halflife-Halflife2. You name it, ive tried it, to no avail. I just got a new modem/router the other week so that cant be the problem either. Even deleting the Clientregistryblob file will only solve the problem for a few minutes if I'm lucky. Very Frustrating!

Its wireless, but I'm hard wired directly into the modem.

im not running a server just trying to play a game. It even happens when I play Counter Strike Source and other steam games. But I have no connection problems otherwise. Just steam..

I guess this comment in your OP threw me off.

Try putting your computer on the DMZ through your router. Only do this for testing purposes.
