THREE HOURS NOW AND YOU WON'T UPDATE MY TRANSACTION HISTORY! I CAN'T SEE IF PEOPLE PAID, AND I CAN'T EVEN REFUND THEM IF I WANTED TO! HOLY HELL!
LET ME CALL OH WAIT YOUR OFFICE IS CLOSED. WELL THAT'S FINE THEN I GUESS I DON'T REALLY NEED TO CONDUCT BUSINESS IN A TIMELY FASHION. I CERTAINLY WOULDN'T WANT A GLOBAL BILLION DOLLAR CORPORATION TO HAVE TO DO SOMETHING AS SIMPLE AS HAVE CUSTOMER SUPPORT.

you get an email if somebody sends you money, just check your email account

Except I didn't. Though the person I was selling to pasted the transaction on their end with my name, so paypal was quite willing to take the money... just not give it to me.

I usually just get my current balance, give the go signal to the other guy, refresh the page, deduct the new balance with the old one then trade. It may not apply to you though. Sometimes Paypal is just reaaally slow. I remember one Sunday it took them a full 8 hours to update my transaction history.

check your balance, paypal usually updates the balance almost instantly; emails, transaction history and other shit not so fast

When you receive money, you get an email. It happens every time.
Your paypal balance should also update in 10 minutes.

Shit happens man, Microsoft, which is one of the largest companies in the world has had down time and even been hacked.
In the future, if this happens, ask the guy whom you just traded with to send you a screenshot, that way you can be sure he's legit, my friend got marked as a scammer and trade banned for a year because of a paypal malfunction.
