Either fix the map vote or get rid of it.
#1

People are retarded. They spam 1 to get rid of the vote and good maps get skipped for utter shit.

Right now we were on Pipeline because Yukon was skipped and I just witnessed Well getting skipped in favor of 2Fort.

Just... make 1 the option to press for the next map or get rid of the vote entirely. I'd much rather sit out a map for 30 minutes than have a good map get skipped that won't come up again for 14 hours or whatever.

The system is broken because people don't pay attention. So either make it completely idiot proof or get rid of it.

Oh and not voting should count as a vote for the next map.

So...

CP_Well is the next map.

Do you want to play it?

1. Yes.

2. No, skip for 2Fort.

Presto.

Then you have people pressing one to get rid of the box and not skipping 2fort, Probably the best solution would be to change the numbers to something like 5 and 6.

Drunken brawl or some other server just modified it so that 1 and 2 did nothing other than tell you to actually look at what you are voting for.

I was a commando you know.

I'd rather be stuck with every map than have a good map be skipped.

Please also update the map rotation to have a pl map every other map. Maybe

1. Take the vote at the start and end of the map.
2. Use 4 and 5 instead of 1 and 2
3. Change it to 'Press 4 to keep the next map, 5 to skip it'
4. Non-voters count as 'don't skip' votes.
5. Average the start/end vote totals.
6. Change percentages to skip from 50 and 100000% to 50, 65, 75, 85, 100. That way there's a chance to skip maps that aren't liked at least more than once in a row.
7. Track map votes for data analysis at the end of the month to see how the rotation can be improved (keeping them all in, but not having the two sawmills right next to each other, not having mountainlab and junction next to each other, etc).
8. Implement on Valve Maps 2 as well. Track that data and use the results from 1 and 2 to create the ultimate rotation that almost no one hates. Change monthly as needed.

The other people also have to endure a bad map. Eventually they learn.

Maybe the majority wanted 2fort?

Then they can go to one of the TWO 2Fort servers SourceOP provides (which is dumb btw).
