SourceOP Highlander Relaunch night

On Wednesday, July 20th, GRANDPAS WILL PLAY TF2.



SourceOP Highlander is proud to present GRANDPAS VS VIRGINS, an exhibition match for SourceOP Highlander Relaunch night, where a bunch of experienced grandpas will fight to death against energetic virgins.

THE GRANDPAS

The Grandpas are old folks from the SourceOP servers: FlyingK, novamode, pok3monmast3r, SighCommander, SPAM, Sups, Wieks, Womb Raider, Zalfy

THE VIRGINS OR... THE DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?

The Grandpas will have no pity for The Virgins. We're therefore looking for the best virgins around! Do you have what it takes? Do you think you can beat the cra* out of them? Then SIGN-UP! Registrations close Thursday night (if you wish to register, you can either post here, on the "SourceOP Highlander" Steam group or contact me directly through Steam chat... I and a few other people will choose the BESTS OF THE BESTS to fight The Grandpas. When you register, please mention 3 classes you'd be willing to play and also give a link to your Steam Profile).

Details

The exhibition match is set to start at 9PM EST, for a duration of approximately 1 hour. The Grandpas will get to pick a Control Point map and The Virgins will get to pick another one. cp_gravelpit will be the decider. The format for the cp maps is: 20 minutes or first to get 3 points. In fact, we don't want to make it too long since after the exhibition match, we invite the SOURCETV VIEWERS to join us for EPIC NIGHT. Depending on the number of players, a match might either take the 30-minute format (or first to get 5 points) or we might continue with the 20-minute one.

We think the 1-hour exhibition match is a great way to hype up players and that at 10 PM (time where we usually started inviting people, in previous Highlander matches), we will have enough players to start playing regular matches.

What's so different about Relaunch night?

WELL, for once, the exhibition match. I'm sure some of you are super excited to watch. At least, I am ;D ! Secondly, as stated above, we won't have to wait 1 hour for people to show up... And finally, there will be gifts given out! From games (Defense Grid, HL2) to TF2 items, players will get the chance to receive gifts throughout the night (depending on if there are any people willing to give stuff out =P).

@Adder At least 4 players on 9 are Valve Maps/Pro Rotation regulars (and the rest, of course, never ever went there at all...) I don't know why it would be called 'Goldrush regs'... ? Would people be complaining if the majority were from Valve Maps? Seriously... :roll: We're about to have tons of fun and this whole debacle is about to start all over again... Who cares where the players are from? Plus, we're trying to reach EVEN MORE non-goldrush regulars by posting here... what more do you want?

The pro rotation server wasn't much better last I looked... Because last I remember the arena server had its community pretty much migrate there.
