To those who said 1984, I read it for school when i was in high school.
However, it never appealed to me. Brave New World in my opinion was a greater Big Brother book than 1984. Though we all have opinions.

		Necessary necro.
Rostov Wrote:Sushimitzu Wrote:George Orwell, Aldous Huxley, Philip K. Dick. You know, the dystopian kind of stuff.
Read the Hunger Games yet?
I watched the movie yesterday. Just great. Not so much a fan of love stories, but it is okay since it is wrapped up in such an interesting setting.

peteyM3 Wrote:Just finished A Song of Ice and Fire. One of the top 5 fantasy books of all time for sure. You should definitely pick it up, and don't watch Game of Thrones on HBO until after you've read the books. It gives everything away.
Fuck.... too late. My Girlfriend wanted to watch the series so I folded and decided to watch it first.
Fantasy/Fiction here for the most part, read the Hobbit when I was 9 followed by LOTR (all 3) to start me off. Not solely belonging to that genre I read other genre's as well. An excellent new book/series I have read lately would be
The Painted Man - Peter V Brett (I think)
The Desert Spear - Same as above
