Speed increase for me has been on the desktop skins. Haven't tried the mobile skin yet on the phone.

Saying that...I'm a broken record here but Tapatalk would put the mobile version needs to bed. One of the chief reasons not to go that route was the old forum software. Shouldn't be an issue now.

http://www.tapatalk.com/faq.php

As you can see there are no charges to you as the forum owner(s). The charge is only for those that want to use the app on their phone. The faq I posted will answer many questions including why its easier for me, the end user. During work hours tapatalk is a real time saver to get in and caught up on what I want to catch up on. When I return from work I can browse using the standard skins with no issue.

The Steam Profile icons, SR, BP Inventory icons would be great to have under our avatars. It would limit allot of the signature space we are using for that information.

Desktop skin. Black background would be great. Dark theme. I'm sure there is one for free in the skins DL section of vbulletin.

Ability to bump threads by using a bump button instead of posting a smiley face. Button becomes available after 2 hours for the OP after that amount of inactivity. Any posts from a different forum member would start the 2 hours over again.

Ability to lock and reopen our own threads. Would be great for those actively selling buds, keys and ref. When they are out they simply lock the thread. When they are stocked they reopen the thread.

Report button is missing. Many times we get hit with "why didn't anyone say anything" when a bad thread is started. Having a report to moderator button would eliminate any inaction by membership. If your expecting membership to send PM's when there is an issue your going to continue to be disappointed.

@trunk: their was always a limit on the old board.

@irish:
  • steam link/login is already implemented, go to settings to see, we plan to expand on it aswell in addition to SR and backpack links/icons
  • Report is not missing, its up and works, already got a report form a user about a spambot.
  • no autobump, dont plan/count on it ever.
  • not sure about thread locking, will have to think that one over a tad, we never had it before nor did we need it, not sure why editing your post would not suffice.

Any chance you could give this forum the same limits as the old one?

What good will that do? The databases would be different and each post/thread created will only be added on the forum(s) where you add it. It won't sync.

On the phone now so can't check but the skin I was using this morning I didn't see a report button. Great news that its available. I think my bump suggestion is being misread. Not an auto bump. I would never suggest that. Just a button for the op to bump his thread when he feels its necessary eliminating the need for a postg count.
